An Idyllic country market at Groote Post Vineyards, nestled in the hills around the beautiful town of Darling, a perfect little trip away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, only 45 minutes away.

Groote Post Country Market

The terrace alongside the Groote Post Cellar will again be a hive of activity, brimming with delicious and beautiful country offerings. Guests can expect artisan foods, arts and crafts, home-ware and décor, and of course, Groote Post’s well-loved wines which will be available for tasting and purchase by the glass, bottle or case.

Local is lekker with locals presenting a divine selection of Darling gourmet produce including organic mushrooms, Weskus Worswa, divine breads, charcuterie, olive oils, pomegranate products and juice, organic preservative free chilli sauces, delicious handmade toffees from Darling Sweet, popular craft beers from Darling Brew and much more.

Kids will love the rolling lawns, playground, tractor rides, Zorb balls and kiddy’s quad bikes to name a few of the activities that will be available.

Newton & Co Duo (a combination of Newton on guitar and vocals and Maria on violin) play popular cover music from golden oldies to modern contemporary songs, and they will be sure to get you singing along.

After browsing through the market, visitors can relax in the shade under the trees enjoying the music and tucking into their delicious eats from the market while sipping on Groote Post wines and Darling Brew’s craft beers.

Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual - however, booking is essential.

Please note that although pets are welcome - all dogs must be on a leash at all times.
