Can I change my shipment wines if I prefer something else?
Yes, you are welcome to select any Groote Post wines for delivery. We will make up a mixed case of wine, which makes it fun to try the different wines! A mailer will be sent out with our recommendation, and there will be at least a two week period in which to change your order. You can also let us know if you wish to receive the same wine selection every 6 months, should you have a special preference of Groote Post wine

Do I still receive a discount even when it’s not planned shipment months?
Yes, being a Friend of Groote Post, means never missing out on your favourite wines, at the discount prices! We will have your Friendship membership loaded on our system, which will automatically generate the discount. Your discount will remain active as long as you stay committed to taking your two shipments every 6 months.

How does payment work?
Your credit card will automatically get debited before the shipment goes out, but there will be notifications via email sent out so you know exactly when we do the transaction. All your credit card details remain safe and confidential, and we promise to never use this privileged information for anything other than Groote Post wine orders. You are also welcome to do an Electronic transfer.

What if I am not available during the shipment months? Do I remain a Friend of Groote Post?
If you are away, or unable to receive your planned shipments, not to worry, you will remain a Friend of Groote Post. All we ask is that you still commit to buying 24 bottles of wine throughout the year to keep your membership active. Should this be the case, please send an email to friends@grootepost, and we will make a note of this.

Can I sign a friend up as a gift?
You are welcome to take out a Friends membership on behalf of someone else. The shipments make a fantastic gift, and your loved one will receive 12 bottles of wine twice a year. This will be billed to your account, and we can always add a personal touch of a greeting card or letter

How does cancellation work?
You can cancel your Friends membership at any time, but the cancellation will need to be put in writing and sent to friends@grootepost.co.za. You will also have the option to put your account on hold, as we know the future is unforeseeable! You can then let us know when you are ready to re-activate your membership.

How does delivery work?
We will send an email out with all the necessary information, before the wine leaves our Estate. This will give you time to amend delivery details should it be necessary. You will receive free delivery on your planned shipments in May and November, to main city centers in South Africa.

What are the events I am invited to?
We regularly host food and wine evenings at restaurants around the country. You will always receive early notification to join us, as well as special functions at the Farm. We have a special Friends Family day, which is exclusively for Friends of Groote Post, which is a fun filled day at the Farm, where we get together to celebrate friendship and great wine! One of the Groote Post team will also be at your disposal, should you wish to host a private wine tasting at your home or as a corporate event. We have Winemakers Table lunches at the farm, for which you will be the first to be invited
